Home Support and Companionship (HSC) is a California-based Limited Liability Company.

Created in collaboration with Dolores Street Community Services, a nonprofit championing social justice and community empowerment, HSC is passionately dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals in need of support and companionship.

At Home Support & Companionship (HSC), our mission is to provide exceptional care and companionship to our valued clients. Our cooperative ownership sets us apart, where our caregivers are also owners. This unique structure ensures their deep commitment to your family members' well-being. Together, we create a warm and supportive environment that promotes independence, dignity, and genuine companionship for all.

Amanda, originally from El Salvador, has embraced her new home in the United States for the past 11 years. With her extensive background and certifications as a doula, she provides care to the elderly and has refined her skills as a compassionate caregiver. Amanda's dedication and expertise make her a valuable team member, delivering exceptional care while preserving the independence and dignity of her clients.

Denis Galdamez

Denis, originally from El Salvador, joined Home Support & Companionship to prevent the mistreatment of the elderly and provide them compassionate care. As a certified Doula, she actively applies her expertise, profoundly impacting the lives of those she serves. Her unwavering dedication enhances the cooperative effort, ensuring the elderly receive the understanding and support they deserve.
Dora Umana

Dora Umana

Dora, from El Salvador, learned caregiving from her mother while taking care of a 98-year-old woman. She also holds a bachelor's degree as a commercial secretary. Dora's hands-on experience and educational background make her a valuable caregiver, providing compassionate support to those in her care.
Gloria Aguirre

Gloria Aguirre

Gloria, originally from Mexico and with 24 years in the US, has over 6 years of experience caring for the elderly and people with special needs. Her personal connection as a mother to a child with special needs fuels her passion for the cooperative's work. Gloria's expertise and heartfelt commitment make her an invaluable member, providing compassionate care and support to those she serves.
Irma Berrios

Irma Berrios

Irma, from Honduras, has cared for the elderly, including her own grandmothers, for almost 10 years. She joined the cooperative to combine her love for taking care of seniors with the freedom of being her own boss. Irma's compassionate nature and experience make her an invaluable member, providing exceptional care to the elderly.

Karen Ulloa

Karen, from Peru, has extensive experience caring for the elderly and assisting them in their daily activities. She finds joy in this work, considering it an essential part of life's journey. With a background in psychology and training in parenting and emotion management, Karen brings a holistic approach to her caregiving role. Her compassion and diverse skill set make her a valuable caregiver, ensuring the well-being and support of the elderly individuals she cares for.

Kelly, from El Salvador, has experience caring for the elderly, including her own mother. Her work is driven by a passion for improving their quality of life. Lilyam Zelaya

Lilyam Zelaya

Lilyam, from Nicaragua, has extensive experience caring for family members, including her paternal grandmother. Devoting over two years to her grandmother's care, Lilyam found deep meaning in the experience and joined HCS. Currently undergoing business training at MEDA, she aims to expand her business and further develop her knowledge.

Martha G., originally from Nicaragua, brings two years of experience to her role. In Nicaragua, she studied psychology and provided family counseling and mentorship, along with courses on emotional healing. Martha's educational background and experience enable her to offer comprehensive support to individuals and families. Her expertise in psychology, coupled with her nurturing approach, makes her a valuable member of the team, ensuring that those under her care receive holistic care and guidance.

Melissa is originally from Mexico and holds a degree in Biology and a Master of Science earned in collaboration with the University of Malaga in Spain. She is studying Public Health at City College of San Francisco (CCSF). As the managing administrator of Home Support and Companionship, she is deeply passionate about her work. Her mission is to provide companionship and home support services with exceptional quality and care.

Monica, originally from Mexico City, has 5 years of caregiving experience and holds an associate degree in childcare. Her combination of practical experience and formal education equips her with the skills and knowledge to provide excellent care. Nancy, hailing from Honduras, has 4 years of experience in elderly care. She holds a nursing degree from Honduras, which further enhances her expertise in providing exceptional care.
